How the lane plays · Gold – Platinum
Tristana outranges you and wants free auto attacks; you want to close the gap with Q (Mortal Steel) and E (Soul Unbound), then trade short before her W (Rocket Jump) answers.
Her range lets her poke you off last hits. Use Q (Mortal Steel) to hit minions and her together, and trade when her Q (Rapid Fire) is spent.
Build Q to 2 stacks for the dash. Go in with E (Soul Unbound) so you can return to your body, and leave before her E (Explosive Charge) pops.
Your R (Fate Sealed) can pull her and her support together. Her R (Buster Shot) knocks you back out of the fight, so respect it at low health.
Play it aggressive
After she uses W (Rocket Jump) for poke or to reposition, you can go in with Q, Q dash and AA while it is down.
When her Q (Rapid Fire) is on cooldown, her damage in short trades drops. Look for a quick Q (Mortal Steel) and AA exchange.
If a wave is pushed into her tower side, E (Soul Unbound) in lets you hit her and slip back.
Play it safe
Her E (Explosive Charge) is freshly cast on you: back off out of the blast rather than staying to trade.
At low health, her R (Buster Shot) can stop your engage and knock you back, so don't dive when she has it.
When she has W (Rocket Jump), Q (Rapid Fire) and E up together, wait for a better window than a long trade.

Rocket Jump lets her escape your all-in and slows you where she lands. Bait it out first, then commit when it is down.
Explosive Charge puts a bomb on you that detonates after a short delay. Step out of the blast or trade away before it goes.
Buster Shot knocks you back and breaks your dive. With her bomb on you, the blast radius doubles, so avoid standing in it.
