Yone vs Xayah · Bot

The lane in ten seconds, then the whole brief — written by our coach for your level, from Riot's own kits for patch 16.21. Every number checked against Riot's data. Options, never orders.

Written for

The same lane is not played the same way in Silver and in Diamond: pick your level, the advice changes. Signed in, Olymps opens on your rank. Coaching, not statistics — the abilities and Riot's cooldowns are the same at every level.

BotYone vs XayahGold – Platinum
The key

Short trades when her E is down; avoid fights inside her feathers.

Xayah E — Bladecaller
Watch · E · Bladecaller12 → 8 s

Stay clear of feather lines; do not walk into the root.

Yone Q — Mortal Steel›Yone Q — Mortal Steel›AA›Yone W — Spirit Cleave
Your window

Right after her E goes on cooldown.

How the lane plays · Gold – Platinum

Xayah out-ranges you and wins long trades from afar, so you look for short windows when her E (Bladecaller) is down and you can dash onto her.

Levels 1-2

She pokes with Q (Double Daggers) and AA for free. Stay out of 525 range, last-hit when you can, and trade when her Q is on cooldown.

Levels 3-5

Q to 2 stacks gives you a dash and an airborne. Dodging her feathers and baiting E before you commit makes the all-in much safer.

Level 6+

Your R (Fate Sealed) can pull her and her support together. She can answer with R (Featherstorm) to go untargetable, so look to use yours after it is spent.

Play it aggressive

After she uses E on the wave or on your support, Q into the 2-stack dash and AA her before it returns.

When her Q is spent on minions, step up for a short trade with Q, AA and W (Spirit Cleave) shield.

After she burns R (Featherstorm), look for your R to catch both lane enemies if your support follows up.

Play it safe

When her W is active and her E is ready, step back out of range instead of trading into the root.

If feathers sit between you and her and E is ready, avoid walking through them to last-hit.

Without Flow or E (Soul Unbound) to retreat, hold back from long fights where she kites you at range.

Their threats · Riot's cooldowns

Xayah E — Bladecaller
E · Bladecaller12 → 8 s

Recalls her feathers, damaging and rooting you. Walking over the feather line while she has E up is risky, so avoid standing between feathers and her.

Xayah W — Deadly Plumage
W · Deadly Plumage18 → 14 s

Boosts her attack speed and move speed once she hits a champion. Trading into an active W is costly, so wait it out before you commit.

Xayah R — Featherstorm
R · Featherstorm140 → 100 s

She leaps, goes untargetable and drops a fan of feathers. Your all-in can be dodged by it, and the feathers set up an E root.

Your combo

Yone Q — Mortal Steel›Yone Q — Mortal Steel›AA›Yone W — Spirit Cleave

Once her E is spent: land Q twice to dash in, hit AA, then W (Spirit Cleave) for the shield as you trade out.

How this is written

Our coach reads both kits exactly as Riot publishes them for the current patch — abilities, cooldowns, costs, ranges — and writes the lane for one level at a time: Iron – Silver, Gold – Platinum, Emerald – Diamond, Master+. Every number in the text is checked against Riot's data; a line that cites anything else is dropped. No win rates, no tier lists: coaching, not statistics.
