How the lane plays · Gold – Platinum
Jhin outranges you and wins a slow poke lane, so you want short all-in trades off Q (Mortal Steel) stacks and shield, not long range standoffs.
Jhin has 550 range against your 175. Stay behind minions, last hit with Q (Mortal Steel), and trade when his Q (Dancing Grenade) or W (Deadly Flourish) is spent.
Get two Q (Mortal Steel) stacks through minions to dash in. W (Spirit Cleave) for the shield, then AA. Leave before his E (Captive Audience) traps stack up.
R (Fate Sealed) can pull both enemies in, but Jhin's R (Curtain Call) punishes low health from across the map. Keep your health up between fights.
Play it aggressive
After he uses Q (Dancing Grenade) on minions or W (Deadly Flourish) on you, go in with Q (Mortal Steel) while both are on cooldown.
When his fourth shot is spent, his AA damage drops. Walk up, trade fast, and use W (Spirit Cleave) for the shield.
With the wave at your side, E (Soul Unbound) in, hit AA and Q, and return before his lotus and root come.
Play it safe
Do not walk up in a straight line while his W (Deadly Flourish) is ready and his support can hit you first.
Don't chase through unwarded fog or bushes. A lotus slow from E (Captive Audience) turns your dash into a death.
At low health after he reaches level 6, back off. R (Curtain Call) can finish you from far away.

Long-range shot that roots if he or his ally already hit you. Don't stay in a line with him after taking poke or support damage.
Invisible lotus slows and damages. Respect it where he has been standing or on the way into your all-in, especially near his minions.
Four long-range shots that slow and execute. Once he has it, avoid running away at low health in a straight line.
