How the lane plays · Gold – Platinum
Darius wants to pin Yone with E (Apprehend) and stack bleed; Yone wants to poke with a short Q (Mortal Steel) and slip away with E (Soul Unbound).
Yone's Q is cheap and frequent, so he can poke freely. Look to trade right after he spends Q, with W (Crippling Strike) into AA to stick to him.
Your Q, W and E are all up and bleed stacks fast. Pull with E when he steps in to Q, then Q, AA and W. Shove to threaten a dive.
R (Noxian Guillotine) finishes a bleeding Yone. His R (Fate Sealed) can pull you out of position, so fight near your wave and tower.
Play it aggressive
After he uses E (Soul Unbound) to get in, he often has no escape; pull with E (Apprehend) and commit.
When he wastes Q (Mortal Steel) poking into your wave, step in with W (Crippling Strike) and AA to get bleed stacks.
With a pushed wave and your R online, threaten a kill when he drops to about a third of his health.
Play it safe
When his Q has two stacks, expect the airborne dash. Hold E (Apprehend) or stay out of range of it.
Do not fight inside his W (Spirit Cleave) shield window if you can wait a few seconds for it to fade.
If his R is up and you are low, back off toward your tower; an extended trade can flip.

Short, spammable poke, and the third cast dashes and knocks you airborne. Step out of the line and count his stacks before you walk up.
His spirit form lets him trade freely, then snaps back with the damage. Do not chase the body; hit the spirit's return spot or wait it out.
He blinks behind you and pulls enemies in. Stay clear of low health in the open, and watch for a line that includes your teammates.
