How the lane plays · Gold – Platinum
Gragas wants short, bursty trades with W and E; Ornn is a tank who wins long fights through terrain and cooldown trades, so pick your moments.
Q (Barrel Roll) lets you poke from range and its slow sets up W (Drunken Rage) on AA. Ornn's Q (Volcanic Rupture) is his main tool, so step out of its line.
With E (Body Slam) online you have a stun to start trades. Ornn's E (Searing Charge) can knock you up off terrain, so fight away from walls.
R (Explosive Cask) can push him out of position or cut off his approach. Respect Ornn's R (Call of the Forge God) when the wave pushes toward you.
Play it aggressive
After he spends Q (Volcanic Rupture) on the wave or on you, you can walk up with E (Body Slam) and trade.
When he uses E (Searing Charge) into empty space, look for a Q (Barrel Roll) and W trade while it recharges.
When his mana is low after repeated casts, you can keep short trades going and use P (Happy Hour) heals.
Play it safe
Be careful when he has Q and E both ready and you stand near a wall.
Don't overextend into a pushed wave when his R (Call of the Forge God) could be near.
Back off after he lands Brittle until you can reposition with your cooldowns ready.
Their threats · Riot's cooldowns
Slows you and leaves a pillar after a short delay. Walk out of the fissure's line and don't stand on the end point.
Charge that knocks you up if he hits terrain. Keep walls out from behind you and sidestep when he lines up.
Breath of fire makes you Brittle, and he can follow with more damage. Don't stay in the cone, and keep your distance after he casts it.
