Jarvan IV vs Warwick · Jungle
The lane in ten seconds, then the whole brief — written by our coach for your level, from Riot's own kits for patch 16.21. Every number checked against Riot's data. Options, never orders.
The same lane is not played the same way in Silver and in Diamond: pick your level, the advice changes. Signed in, Olymps opens on your rank. Coaching, not statistics — the abilities and Riot's cooldowns are the same at every level.
Fight him early with your spells ready. Don't get dragged into long melee.
Stay out of line and keep allies near.
Right after he wastes his Q.
How the lane plays · Iron – Silver
Warwick wins long, sticky fights by healing, while Jarvan wins by choosing the moment with E (Demacian Standard) into Q (Dragon Strike) and leaving before the heals add up.
Warwick's Q (Jaws of the Beast) and passive heal him in a drawn-out fight. Clear your camps cleanly, and only fight at your camps if you hold the health lead.
With E and Q you can start fights, and W (Golden Aegis) slows him if he tries to run. Contest scuttle only with your key spells up and his Q used.
Both ultimates are strong. Warwick's R (Infinite Duress) suppresses one target from far away, so ping lanes that overextend. Your R traps him for a fight you've picked.
Play it aggressive
After he uses Q on a camp or the crab, look for E into Q so your knockup lands while he can't heal back.
When he is low, a first AA after your Q gets extra passive damage. Finish him, but don't chase past your own side of the map.
If you see his side of the map empty on a reset, you can take his camps. Leave once he shows up.
Play it safe
If you're under half health, back off and recall. His W picks out low targets, and his passive heals him more the lower he is.
Don't spend E and Q on a shield or damage reduction from his E (Primal Howl). Wait for it to end and fight then.
Don't dive a lane when he's close. If the lane is overextended, warn them and don't try to save with R yourself.
Their threats · Riot's cooldowns
A short lunge that heals him and hurts more the tankier you are. Don't trade in melee range, and take the fight when his Q is spent.
Blood Hunt tracks anyone under half health from anywhere on the map. If you're low, expect him to chase, so recall or play near allies and your shield.
A long leap that suppresses the first champion it hits. Don't chase low-health lanes with no support nearby, and stay out of straight lines to you.
Your combo
Start a fight at a crab or camp when his Q is down. The knockup keeps him in place and W slows if he tries to run.

Everything about Jarvan IV →How this is written
Our coach reads both kits exactly as Riot publishes them for the current patch — abilities, cooldowns, costs, ranges — and writes the lane for one level at a time: Iron – Silver, Gold – Platinum, Emerald – Diamond, Master+. Every number in the text is checked against Riot's data; a line that cites anything else is dropped. No win rates, no tier lists: coaching, not statistics.
