Briar vs Seraphine · Jungle

The lane in ten seconds, then the whole brief — written by our coach for your level, from Riot's own kits for patch 16.22. Every number checked against Riot's data. Options, never orders.

Written for

The same lane is not played the same way in Silver and in Diamond: pick your level, the advice changes. Signed in, Olymps opens on your rank. Coaching, not statistics — the abilities and Riot's cooldowns are the same at every level.

How the lane plays · Gold – Platinum

Briar wants to close the gap and brawl, while Seraphine wants to poke from range and chain charms later; whoever controls the first contact decides the skirmish.

Levels 1-2

Briar's bleed healing makes her strong in short fights, but she has no natural regen. Look for a skirmish after Seraphine spends spells on camps; avoid chip trades before it.

Levels 3-5

With Q, W and E, you can jump onto scuttle or a lane. Seraphine's E reaches far and her W can shield a laner, so bait spells first.

Level 6+

Her R charm chains through every champion hit, so keep your team spread. Your R can mark a fed carry anywhere, and its fear on arrival can split a fight.

Play it aggressive

When she uses E on camps or on the crab, you can Q onto her, stun her and fight in melee.

If she shows up at scuttle with no ally nearby, W in, then Q her to break armor and finish the trade.

After her spells are down, you can invade a camp near her. Her passive burst needs casts, so wait for the second cast to be spent.

Play it safe

Don't walk down a straight lane into her E. A slow before your jump lets her hit you with Q and a basic attack.

Avoid long chases while her W shield is up with an ally nearby. Haste and healing can turn a kill into a loss.

Don't group tightly at a fight when her R is up. One charm hitting several of you can lose the whole fight.

Their threats · Riot's cooldowns

Seraphine E — Beat Drop
E · Beat Drop11 s

Long line that damages and slows. It makes your jump-in clumsy, so step off the line or bait it before you commit.

Seraphine R — Encore
R · Encore160 → 120 s

Charm that refreshes its range with every champion hit. Don't stack up in a line. Cleanse or kill her before a grouped fight.

Seraphine W — Surround Sound
W · Surround Sound22 s

Shield and haste for nearby allies, with healing when shielded. It can ruin a gank, so dive when she is not in range of the lane.

How this is written

Our coach reads both kits exactly as Riot publishes them for the current patch — abilities, cooldowns, costs, ranges — and writes the lane for one level at a time: Iron – Silver, Gold – Platinum, Emerald – Diamond, Master+. Every number in the text is checked against Riot's data; a line that cites anything else is dropped. No win rates, no tier lists: coaching, not statistics.
