Jinx vs Ziggs · Bot

The lane in ten seconds, then the whole brief — written by our coach for your level, from Riot's own kits for patch 16.21. Every number checked against Riot's data. Options, never orders.

Written for

The same lane is not played the same way in Silver and in Diamond: pick your level, the advice changes. Signed in, Olymps opens on your rank. Coaching, not statistics — the abilities and Riot's cooldowns are the same at every level.

The key

Stay out of his Q range and trade when it's down.

Ziggs E — Hexplosive Minefield
Watch · E · Hexplosive Minefield16 s

Don't walk through mines; clear them from range.

Your window

When his Q is down and he's at the wave.

How the lane plays · Iron – Silver

Ziggs outranges you with poke and waveclear, but Fishbones matches his reach; the lane goes to whoever wastes fewer abilities and stays out of his bombs.

Levels 1-2

Pow-Pow trades well when he walks up to last-hit. Stay out of his Q (Bouncing Bomb) range while farming, and punish him when it is on cooldown.

Levels 3-5

He gets E (Hexplosive Minefield) and W (Satchel Charge) for pushing and poking. Hold your E (Flame Chompers) for when he commits or you need to peel.

Level 6+

Both ults matter. Keep your health healthy so his R (Mega Inferno Bomb) can't finish you, and watch for low-health enemies to snipe with R (Super Mega Death Rocket).

Play it aggressive

When his Q is on cooldown, step up with Pow-Pow and auto him while he is stuck behind minions.

After he spends W (Satchel Charge) to escape or push, he has less mobility. Look to zap him with W (Zap!) and trade.

If his mines are spent on the wave, walk up and trade before he can set new ones.

Play it safe

When he has full mana and Q ready at the start, don't stand in his poke range without a reason to be there.

If his mines are down and you have no E, avoid walking up into the minefield for a last-hit.

When he reaches level 6 and you are low, back off before he can land the long-range R.

Their threats · Riot's cooldowns

Ziggs Q — Bouncing Bomb
Q · Bouncing Bomb6 → 4 s

Long-range bouncing poke that punishes standing still at the wave. Step sideways while farming and don't auto into the wave in a straight line.

Ziggs E — Hexplosive Minefield
E · Hexplosive Minefield16 s

Mines slow you and zone you off the wave. Don't walk through them; wait for them to detonate or clear them with a Fishbones rocket.

Ziggs R — Mega Inferno Bomb
R · Mega Inferno Bomb120 → 70 s

A huge-range bomb that can catch you while you are low or stuck in a fight. Keep your health up and watch for his ult level.

How this is written

Our coach reads both kits exactly as Riot publishes them for the current patch — abilities, cooldowns, costs, ranges — and writes the lane for one level at a time: Iron – Silver, Gold – Platinum, Emerald – Diamond, Master+. Every number in the text is checked against Riot's data; a line that cites anything else is dropped. No win rates, no tier lists: coaching, not statistics.
