How the lane plays · Iron – Silver
Caitlyn outranges you and wins a long poke fight, so look to make her use her spells, then close the gap while her trap and net are down.
Her 650 range beats your 525. Stay out of her AA range, last-hit safely, and look to trade with Q (Double Daggers) plus AA when she steps up to farm.
She may plant W (Yordle Snap Trap) near the wave. Respect the bush and wave edges. After she spends E (90 Caliber Net) or Q, you can walk up and trade.
Your R (Featherstorm) can dodge her damage and give you a strong trade. Her R reaches far, so avoid low health in open lane.
Play it aggressive
After she misses or uses Q, step in with Q (Double Daggers) and AA while she is still reloading.
When she throws E (90 Caliber Net) at you or a minion, you can push forward to trade.
When she is low on mana from spamming Q, look for a short trade and keep the wave pushed so she cannot farm freely.
Play it safe
If you are standing on a trap without knowing it, back off. Do not chase her into fog or bushes after she retreats.
When her E and Q are both ready, step back from poke instead of trading for a minion.
At low health with her R online, play safe near your tower and watch the map for the jungler.

Trap immobilizes you, then she gets a long-range Headshot. Avoid walking over odd grass or wave-edge spots; just wait for her to place them.
Long-range rifle shot after a short rev-up. It punishes standing still in the lane, so keep moving while minions fight and stay off her line.
Net slows you and knocks her back. It sets up trap or Q follow-up, so don't dive without space and watch for a jungler.
