Pantheon vs Nasus · Top

The lane in ten seconds, then the whole brief — written by our coach for your level, from Riot's own kits for patch 16.21. Every number checked against Riot's data. Options, never orders.

Written for

The same lane is not played the same way in Silver and in Diamond: pick your level, the advice changes. Signed in, Olymps opens on your rank. Coaching, not statistics — the abilities and Riot's cooldowns are the same at every level.

The key

Trade early, don't let him farm and stack Q.

How the lane plays · Gold – Platinum

Pantheon wants to bully Nasus early before his Q stacks and W slow come online; Nasus wants a long, quiet lane to scale into late game.

Levels 1-2

Look to trade when his Q (Siphoning Strike) is down. Pantheon has more reach with Q and W. Don't give free last-hit trades for his Q.

Levels 3-5

With Q, W and E online, you can stun and use E (Aegis Assault) in short trades. Push the wave when you can and keep him off stacks.

Level 6+

His R (Fury of the Sands) makes extended trades bad for you. Use R (Grand Starfall) to roam or to join fights instead of dueling him in the storm.

Play it aggressive

Poke with Q (Comet Spear) from range when he walks up for a last hit, since his reach is short.

When his Q is on cooldown, go W into AA into Q for a quick burst, then step out before he answers.

Shove the wave with Q when you have mana, then look for a recall timing or a roam with R.

Play it safe

Once his W lands, your trade is worse. Back off instead of staying in melee range.

Don't fight in his R (Fury of the Sands) storm; his health and resists make your damage weak.

Don't burn all your mana early: Q, W and E all cost mana, and losing a long lane leaves you without a trade.

Their threats · Riot's cooldowns

Nasus Q — Siphoning Strike
Q · Siphoning Strike7.5 → 3.5 s

Big hit on a last-hit swing that also grows with every kill. Trade right after he uses it and deny him stacks by keeping the wave tight.

Nasus W — Wither
W · Wither15 → 11 s

Slows your movement and attack speed, which ruins your short trades. Stay out of its range when you can, and don't fight long once it's on you.

Nasus R — Fury of the Sands
R · Fury of the Sands120 → 80 s

Gives him bonus health, resistances and damage around him. Don't brawl inside it; leave, or wait it out with E (Aegis Assault) only if his hits come from the front.

How this is written

Our coach reads both kits exactly as Riot publishes them for the current patch — abilities, cooldowns, costs, ranges — and writes the lane for one level at a time: Iron – Silver, Gold – Platinum, Emerald – Diamond, Master+. Every number in the text is checked against Riot's data; a line that cites anything else is dropped. No win rates, no tier lists: coaching, not statistics.
