How the lane plays · Iron – Silver

Warwick wants a short, sticky brawl and heals as he hits. Evelynn wins by poking from range and charming him only when his Q and E are spent.

Levels 1-2

Poke with Q (Hate Spike) when no minion blocks the line. Stay out of his lunge range while Q (Jaws of the Beast) is ready.

Levels 3-5

With W (Allure) up, trade after he spends Q or E. Don't chase him past half health: his passive heals him then.

Level 6+

His R (Infinite Duress) can suppress you, so don't stand in a straight line from him. Your R (Last Caress) is a strong burst and an escape.

Play it aggressive

After he whiffs or wastes Q (Jaws of the Beast), walk up and trade with W, Q and E.

When he steps up to last-hit, poke with Q (Hate Spike) while his minions block his lunge.

If he's below half after a trade, finish with E (Whiplash) speed. Stop if his heal and fear turn the fight.

Play it safe

Don't fight near his Q range with it ready. A lunge, a heal and his sticky chase can flip a trade.

Don't chase low-health Warwick: his passive heals him and E (Primal Howl) can fear you away.

After level 6, don't push far past the middle of the lane without checking where the enemy jungler is.

Their threats · Riot's cooldowns

Warwick Q — Jaws of the Beast
Q · Jaws of the Beast8 → 6 s

Lunges onto you, deals max-health damage and heals him. Stay out of its range while it's ready, and trade once it's spent.

Warwick E — Primal Howl
E · Primal Howl15 → 11 s

Damage reduction, then a fear. Don't dump W and Q into the reduction. Wait it out or step back, then re-engage.

Warwick R — Infinite Duress
R · Infinite Duress110 → 70 s

Long leap that suppresses the first champion it hits. Don't sit in a straight line from him at low health. Your untargetable R may dodge it.

How this is written

Our coach reads both kits exactly as Riot publishes them for the current patch — abilities, cooldowns, costs, ranges — and writes the lane for one level at a time: Iron – Silver, Gold – Platinum, Emerald – Diamond, Master+. Every number in the text is checked against Riot's data; a line that cites anything else is dropped. No win rates, no tier lists: coaching, not statistics.
