Yasuo vs Lee Sin · Support

The lane in ten seconds, then the whole brief — written by our coach for your level, from Riot's own kits for patch 16.22. Every number checked against Riot's data. Options, never orders.

The same lane is not played the same way in Silver and in Diamond: pick your level, the advice changes. Signed in, Olymps opens on your rank. Coaching, not statistics — the abilities and Riot's cooldowns are the same at every level.

The key

Respect his Q, then trade back when it is down.

Lee Sin Q — Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike
Watch · Q · Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike10 → 6 s

Keep minions between you; do not stand in a clean line.

Yasuo E — Sweeping Blade›Yasuo Q — Steel Tempest›AA
Your window

Go in right after his Q is spent.

How the lane plays · Gold – Platinum

Yasuo support against Lee Sin support: you want short trades when his Q is down, and he wants to land Q and pick a target to dive.

Levels 1-2

Lee Sin has energy-fueled trades with Q, E and passive AAs. Stay out of Q range and trade back when his abilities are spent, using Q on the wave.

Levels 3-5

Once you have E, you can dash through minions to reach him, or away from his engage. Q (Steel Tempest) at 2 stacks gives a knock-up for your carry to follow.

Level 6+

Both ults punish a bad position. His R (Dragon's Rage) can kick your carry out of position; your R (Last Breath) needs an airborne target to connect.

Play it aggressive

After his Q goes on cooldown, step up and use Q on him and the wave to trade while he is without his gap-closer.

When his energy is low after spamming abilities, look to trade with AA and Q, since he will struggle to answer.

If your Q has 2 stacks near him, the knock-up can start a fight your carry can follow.

Play it safe

When his Q is available and the lane has no minions between you, stay out of range so Sonic Wave cannot connect.

Around level 6, stay near your carry and avoid wandering into bushes where he can find a kick angle.

If your W is on cooldown, avoid engaging into his side, since you cannot block their ranged follow-up.

Their threats · Riot's cooldowns

Lee Sin Q — Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike
Q · Sonic Wave / Resonating Strike10 → 6 s

Sonic Wave pulls him onto you if it hits, then Resonating Strike hurts more on low health. Stay behind minions to block the line.

Lee Sin R — Dragon's Rage
R · Dragon's Rage110 → 60 s

Dragon's Rage kicks one target into others. Stay spread out in fights and keep your W (Wind Wall) in mind for his follow-ups, though it will not stop the kick itself.

Lee Sin W — Safeguard / Iron Will
W · Safeguard / Iron Will8 s

Safeguard lets him jump to an ally, ward or minion for a shield and escape. Do not chase deep after a trade when he can hop away.

Your combo

Yasuo E — Sweeping Blade›Yasuo Q — Steel Tempest›AA

Dash through a minion or him, then Q as a circle and AA to trade when his key abilities are down.

How this is written

Our coach reads both kits exactly as Riot publishes them for the current patch — abilities, cooldowns, costs, ranges — and writes the lane for one level at a time: Iron – Silver, Gold – Platinum, Emerald – Diamond, Master+. Every number in the text is checked against Riot's data; a line that cites anything else is dropped. No win rates, no tier lists: coaching, not statistics.
