Seraphine vs Nautilus · Support

The lane in ten seconds, then the whole brief — written by our coach for your level, from Riot's own kits for patch 16.21. Every number checked against Riot's data. Options, never orders.

Written for

The same lane is not played the same way in Silver and in Diamond: pick your level, the advice changes. Signed in, Olymps opens on your rank. Coaching, not statistics — the abilities and Riot's cooldowns are the same at every level.

The key

Poke from range, stay behind minions, and never get hooked.

Nautilus Q — Dredge Line
Watch · Q · Dredge Line14 → 10 s

Stay behind minions so the hook hits them.

Seraphine E — Beat Drop›Seraphine Q — High Note›AA
Your window

Right after his hook is used or misses.

How the lane plays · Gold – Platinum

Seraphine outranges Nautilus by a lot, but one Q (Dredge Line) hit on you or your carry flips the lane, so poke from outside his hook range.

Levels 1-2

Use Q (High Note) and AA from range to chip him while he walks up. Keep mana for E (Beat Drop). Stay behind minions so Q (Dredge Line) hits them instead.

Levels 3-5

Each time his Q (Dredge Line) is down, you can trade freely. Land E (Beat Drop) to slow him, then Q and AA. Stay out of E (Riptide) range.

Level 6+

His R (Depth Charge) locks one target. Hold your W (Surround Sound) shield for his engage, and save your R (Encore) to answer a dive or start a fight.

Play it aggressive

When his Q (Dredge Line) was just used and missed, you can walk up with Q (High Note) and AA freely.

Early waves: poke with Q (High Note) while he steps up to last-hit, and make him choose between farm and health.

After he spends E (Riptide) on minions, look for a short E (Beat Drop) into Q trade before he can threaten you.

Play it safe

When his Q (Dredge Line) is up and a minion lane is thin, stay out of his hook line.

Without vision in the side brushes or river, respect his hook and an incoming engage from fog.

If he has his R (Depth Charge) at level 6, do not stand alone in front of the wave. Keep distance from your carry.

Their threats · Riot's cooldowns

Nautilus Q — Dredge Line
Q · Dredge Line14 → 10 s

The hook pulls you or your carry into him, then his passive roots. Stay behind minions and keep your own E ready to answer.

Nautilus R — Depth Charge
R · Depth Charge120 → 80 s

A knock-up and stun that chases one target through minions. Keep your carry spaced from you, and hold W (Surround Sound) so you can shield right after.

Nautilus P — Staggering Blow
P · Staggering Blow

His first AA roots briefly, so once he is on you, you cannot walk away. Do not stand next to him after a hook lands.

Your combo

Seraphine E — Beat Drop›Seraphine Q — High Note›AA

When he walks into range: E (Beat Drop) to slow, Q (High Note) for damage, then a stage presence AA. Back out after.

How this is written

Our coach reads both kits exactly as Riot publishes them for the current patch — abilities, cooldowns, costs, ranges — and writes the lane for one level at a time: Iron – Silver, Gold – Platinum, Emerald – Diamond, Master+. Every number in the text is checked against Riot's data; a line that cites anything else is dropped. No win rates, no tier lists: coaching, not statistics.
