How the lane plays · Gold – Platinum
Heimerdinger zones with turrets and range while Vladimir scales into a sustained fighter, so you want early pressure and turret setups before he gets his cooldowns.
Your range is longer than his. Look for W (Hextech Micro-Rockets) pokes when he steps up to last hit, and respect his Q (Transfusion) trade when he closes in.
Place turrets with Q (H-28 G Evolution Turret) to hold space, then threaten E (CH-2 Electron Storm Grenade) when he walks into range. Keep the wave near your tower so you move faster.
His R (Hemoplague) can punish a stationary setup. Play near your turrets and tower, keep E for his dive, and use your R (UPGRADE!!!) to power a turret or grenade.
Play it aggressive
When his W (Sanguine Pool) is on cooldown, you can poke with W (Hextech Micro-Rockets) and push him off the wave.
After he uses Q (Transfusion) on a minion or you, you can drop a Q turret and follow with E for a short trade.
When he walks up to last hit, E (CH-2 Electron Storm Grenade) at his feet for the stun, then turret and rockets.
Play it safe
When his Q (Transfusion) is up and his resource looks full, avoid standing inside its range, since the trade favors his healing.
Right after you spend E, he can step in with E (Tides of Blood) or Q, so keep your turrets between you and him.
Once he has R (Hemoplague), avoid staying low and stationary near the wave, since a plague plus Q burst can finish you.
Their threats · Riot's cooldowns
Sanguine Pool makes him untargetable and slows anyone on it. Hold E and turrets until it ends rather than throwing them into the pool.
Transfusion is his main trade tool and heals him, and it hits much harder when his resource is full. Stay out of 600 range when you can.
Hemoplague amplifies damage taken, then deals damage and heals him. Spread your turrets, stay away from his group, and avoid trading while infected.
